official conference excursions on Wednesday, August 26, 2009,
will leave from the Jackson Lake Lodge main building during
or after the Wednesday morning breakfast/poster session
except for the Jackson Lake Dinner Cruise, which will
leave from Colter Bay Village Marina at 5:15 pm.
Grand
Teton National Park Bus Tour (1/2 day)

This narrated tour takes you to the most photographed
areas of the Grand Teton National Park,
and includes highlighted stops at Jenny Lake Overlook, the Chapel
of Transfiguration, and Oxbow Bend.
Yellowstone National Park Bus Tour (full day)

This
narrated tour includes a box lunch and offers curbside service to
all of the major highlights
of the first U.S. National Park. Experienced guides will show you
the wonders of Yellowstone,
including Old Faithful, the historic Lake Area, and the Grand Canyon
of the Yellowstone.
Snake River Dinner Float Trip (4:15-ca.

hour longer
than originally posted because the water in the Snake River is down;

This scenic 10-mile float trip on the Snake River
offers a close-up look at the unique habitat of Jackson Hole as
well as spectacular views of the Tetons. Experienced river guides
will share the human and natural history
of the valley, while you enjoy the views and catch a glimpse of
wildlife along the way, which may include
bald eagles, moose, bison, elk, pronghorn, osprey, great blue herons,
black bears, and grizzly bears.
The conference Chair and two of the Co-chairs took this excellent
excursion in August 2008.
Jackson Lake Dinner Cruise (1/2 day)

The Dinner Cruise includes a one-and-a-half hour
narrated lake cruise and dinner on Elk Island.
While enjoying majestic view of Jackson Lake and the Teton range,
your dinner will include
cowboy steaks, river trout, a salad bar, baked beans, corn-on-the-cob,
and fruit cobbler.
You
can purchase any of these Excursions for Wednesday onsite using
the
Onsite
Additions and Individual Events Form. You can print and
fill out this form in advance, but do not send it or fax it
to the conference after August 12.
